About This Fujitsu Airstage Installation

Airstage is Fujitsu General's commercial-grade split system line, built around an outdoor condenser unit paired with one or more indoor air handlers, connected by refrigerant lines and electrical wiring rather than sheet-metal ductwork. That makes it a practical option for New York City buildings where installing or extending ductwork isn't feasible — think older row houses, room additions, converted basements, or commercial spaces where you need targeted heating and cooling without a full ducted buildout. See our VRF/VRV systems page for more on this commercial equipment category, including larger multi-module Airstage systems.

Because there's no ductwork involved, installation typically involves mounting the indoor unit on a wall or ceiling, running a small line set — copper refrigerant tubing, a condensate drain, and power — through a short penetration to the outdoor unit, and setting the outdoor condenser on a pad, bracket, or exterior wall mount with adequate airflow. That's a lot less invasive than retrofitting ducts into an existing structure.

In Queens, the building stock runs the gamut — detached one- and two-family homes, attached row houses, small multifamily buildings, and ground-floor commercial spaces with apartments above. Fujitsu Airstage equipment adapts well to that mix because you can zone individual rooms or floors independently, and the outdoor unit can go in a backyard, on a side alley, or on an exterior wall depending on what the building allows.

Considering an Airstage or Ductless Installation?

If you're thinking about a new Fujitsu Airstage or ductless split system for your property — whether residential or commercial — give us a call. We handle HVAC installation and repair work across New York City, including Queens. We can walk through what equipment makes sense for your space, talk through placement options for the outdoor unit and indoor heads, and get you on the schedule. Every building is different, so the best first step is a conversation about what you're looking to accomplish.
